About Us Now
We are a family built on explorers, entrepreneurs and pioneers with deep love for our past. With that, it has kept some of us in place in South Florida and others have traveled across the globe as far as Australia. It has brought my branch of the family a little further north to the panhandle of Florida and South Alabama. Why you say? Opportunity for our way of life, I say. My dad, Rooster, was raised by entrepreneurs, ranchers and farmers. That way of life runs deep in his veins and has been passed down to my generation. As farm and ranch land prices soared in South Florida he saw the opportunity, North, to do what he loved, ranching, growing at a faster pace, more economically. Today, I like to think we have the best of both worlds as our ranch encompasses both states and both landscapes. We are blessed to work and enjoy a property that offers a flat terrain with sandy soil, touch the ground live oaks and saw palmettos of Florida and then also the rolling hills, hardwood forest and clay dirt roads of Alabama. Rooster, along with my mother, Jeanette, have built a beautiful ranch. They have embraced the landscape and enhanced it with green fields surrounded by the richness of the woods.
They have also built a substantial cow/calf operation. Raising premium beef and living the ranch way is our true passion. Like in any business, especially a small family owned and operated we are always looking for ways to be better, more efficient and to grow. This forward thinking has opened the door for us to add another facet to the ranch. A direct to consumer branch allows us to continue to do what we know and love and share it with people from all over the country. It also allows the consumer to be confident in their choice of what they feed their family. All of our beef and pork are born, raised and finished on our ranch. Raised humanly and sustainably by our family and a small group of employees, our animals enjoy a low stress life.
Our dream is that what we have started continues on in the generations to come. We hope our heritage is tasted and felt as you enjoy our home raised beef and pork. As a fifth generation rancher, this is what I live for. -Amy
